Gazprom IFRS net profit jumps to 2.5 tln rbl in January–June

MOSCOW, Aug 31 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom’s net profit amounted to 2.5 trillion rubles in January–June, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and the dividend base has amounted to 2.4 trillion rubles, the company said in its Telegram channel late on Tuesday quoting Deputy CEO Famil Sadygov.

“Gazprom group demonstrated record high revenue and net profit under IFRS in January–June, while its net debt and debt burden decreased to record lows. The net profit amounted to 2.5 trillion rubles… and the dividend base has amounted to 2.4 trillion rubles,” he said.

The net profit thus more than doubled from 995.5 billion rubles in the same period of 2021, and the dividend base almost tripled as compared with 845 billion rubles in January–June 2021.
